This was a modest EP I put together back in 2012. My style/writing has changed/matured since. I’ve written so much (I have enough for two full lengths) that the refining process has become very tedious and I’ve lost ambition to put out a new release. There’s unlimited freedom in doing everything myself, but it can easily become overwhelming. I’m currently back in school, so music has been on the back burner for a long time.
This drum cover is a tribute to my friend, Noah Lockhart, who recently moved to another state. Before leaving, he and another friend, David O’Hara, stayed up the night before to write this instrumental. The following morning, after jamming with the song a few times, I decided to record the parts I came up with. It’s not perfect but it was fun. Art made by cool people under 24 hours.
